If you aren't sure of the rules:

  1. OBJECT: Break the code that the computer has chosen (and is hidden behind the black circles on the top row).
  2. PLAY:
    1. Click on the bottom row of circles to create a pattern of colors which you suppose might be the computer's code.
    2. Click the guess button when you want the computer to check your guess against its code. You will receive 2 numbers per turn: 1 black and 1 white.
    3. These numbers are clues about how close your guess was. Black means a color was correct and in the right position. White means the color is part of the code but is in the wrong place.
  3. STRATEGY: Zeroes are very valuable. Trying to eliminate colors can be as important as determining which colors are in the code!
